Ghanaian International Airlines in Germany

Ghana International Airlines has from 30th November 2008 started a non-stop Düsseldorf – Accra flight services. They shall be operating on weekly basis.
 

The flight to the Kotoka International Airport Accra Ghana shall always depart on Sundays at 14:25 prompt in Düsseldorf, arrival schedule in Accra is around 20:25 the same day. Departure in Accra is on Saturday 22:45 O’clock exact, and supposed to arrive at Düsseldorf International Airport at 06:45 the following day.

 

These flight arrangements allow excellent connectivity to all German cities. Others travelling to other European cities can also easily arrive at their destinations either by train or by bus. Ghana International Airlines, the national airline of the Republic of Ghana, has acquired a Boeing 757-200 equipped with 16 Business Class and 153 Economy Class seats for these services.



Management revealed that Düsseldorf Airport was very convenient for the start because of its proximity to all other German cities and neighbouring European major cities.
Moreover in the past years, Ghana and North Rhine-Westphalia had a tight relation which they intend to strengthen. Which shall be mainly in the areas of development cooperation, economics and infrastructure, strengthening the role of women, sports and culture. According to the Integration Ministry, there are about 9,000 people of Ghanaian origin living in North Rhine-Westphalia, of which about half of them are German citizenship.
